I met Steve about 9 years ago on a solo trip to Paris.  I kept seeing this tall guy on the bridges with a lot of camera gear.  One day by chance – at my favorite spot on the Seine for lunch – I was elbow to elbow with Camera Guy given the postage stamp sized tables.  Me – being me – I’m instantly querying “who are you, why all the gear and what are you taking pictures of?”  I guess I was expecting – well – I don’t really know what I was expecting.  What I got was an absolutely fascinating conversation about “off the beaten path” travel and cultural experiences around the globe with a brilliant, funny, engaging (ok, sort of snarky in a good way), extremely well read Brit named Steve Davey who just happens to be a world class professional photographer and writer.  Here is a link to his gallery and astonishing list of credits –  http://www.stevedavey.com/

Steve also offers Travel Photography Tours around the world and photography classes in London.  You are guaranteed an off the chart experience – refreshingly different from standard travel tours.  And yes, Steve and I are still friends.  This should be testament enough to how great this camera guy really is. He and his lovely family are based out of London.

Steve Davey Morocco 2015  Here is his description of the upcoming tour in Morocco April 2015 –

“We plan to return to Morocco in 2015, and have tweaked our previous itineraries to include some new places and also spend a night in the desert, shooting star trails. We have tried hard to get off the beaten track, exploring the gorges at Dades and Todra, and also the remote walled city of Taroudant. We then explore the coastal town of Essaouira, home to a thriving fishing port and an excellent place for seafood. No trip to Morocco would be complete without visiting the exotic city of Marrakech, and we spend three nights in a centrally located riad.”

Steve is also the author of four amazing travel books and you can find out more about them here – http://www.stevedavey.com/travelphotography.html
